Intraoral Camera
When making decisions about your treatment, it can be helpful to see the problem for yourself. Intraoral cameras easily allow us to show you exactly what Dr. Braga sees. The images are displayed on TV screens right by the chair, so you can remain comfortable. He can then explain your situation and treatment options with more clarity, enabling you to make a more confident choice and move forward with treatment without hesitation.
Digital X-Rays
To provide an accurate diagnosis, we need to see what’s going on beneath the gums’ surface. Digital X-rays capture the basic oral structures necessary to understand the extent of damage done to your smile. Compared to traditional X-ray technology, digital technology makes the X-rays available for Dr. Braga’s review basically immediately. Plus, it involves far less exposure to radiation and doesn’t involve harsh chemicals, making it better for your health and the environment.
CT/Cone Beam Scanner
When Dr. Braga prepares for a complex procedure, such as dental implant placement, he wants to do everything possible to make sure that it will be successful. Our CT/cone beam scanner is an invaluable device because it creates a comprehensive 3D image of all the oral structures, including blood vessels and nerves. With this information, Dr. Braga can plan the details of the procedure ahead of time, helping him avoid complications and deliver truly amazing results.
Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry
Whether for gum disease treatment or to reduce the appearance of a “gummy” smile, a soft tissue laser allows Dr. Braga to remove or adjust soft tissues with far more precision than a traditional scalpel. In addition, patients may not even need a local anesthetic because the gum tissue laser causes little discomfort if any at all. Also, this technology entails very little or even no bleeding for the patient, eliminating the need for sutures and leading to faster healing.
